Who can join
Who is Synapse for?
Registered doctors in India (MBBS or higher), and only those we have verified. No self-claimed doctors, no fake profiles, so everyone you meet understands the shifts, exams and training years that come with the profession.
Can I join if I am still doing my PG or preparing for NEET PG?
Yes. You only need your MBBS registration. During sign-up you can tell us whether you are practising, pursuing a degree or preparing for one, and that shows on your profile.
Is it a dating app or a matrimony site?
Think of it as a bridge towards matrimony. The aim is to help you find someone you are truly compatible with — in your schedule, values, family background and plans for the future — and then take it forward at your own pace. Profiles focus on what matters for marriage: medical journey, work schedule, family roots, values and lifestyle.
How is Synapse different from other matrimony sites?
On general matrimony sites anyone can call themselves a doctor, and doctors often end up talking to people who are not. On Synapse every member is checked against the medical register, so everyone you see is a real doctor. Doctors also do not have time for endless scrolling, so our AI suggests a short list of compatible profiles each day instead. We want a genuine platform built around doctors, not a traditional matrimony listing.
Verification
How do you verify that members are doctors?
Every member's medical registration is checked against the official NMC / State Medical Council register before their profile goes live. Only verified doctors can see and contact each other.
How long does verification take?
Almost instantly — 24 hours at most. You can see your status on the screen that appears after you submit your profile.
What if my verification is not approved?
You will see the reason on your status screen. Most often the registration details did not match the council register. Email us at support@synapsedating.xyz and we will help you fix it.
Matching and chat
How does matching work?
Our AI picks a short list of profiles for you each day, based on compatibility with your preferences and profile. If someone interests you, you send an interest. If they send one back, it is a match.
When can we talk?
As soon as you match, you can chat privately inside Synapse. Nobody can message you unless you have both shown interest.
Who can see my phone number?
Nobody, until you match. Contact details are never shown on your profile.
Can I block or report someone?
Yes. From any chat you can block a person, so they can no longer see you, or report them to our team.
Privacy and your account
Is my live selfie shown on my profile?
No. The live selfie is used only to verify that you are the person in your photos. It is never shown to other members.
Can I hide my profile for a while?
Yes. Deactivating your profile hides it from everyone, including your matches, until you sign in and choose to activate it again. Nothing is deleted.
How do I delete my account?
From the menu on your dashboard choose Delete Profile. Your profile, photos, matches, chats and all other data are permanently erased.
Refer and earn
How does Refer & Earn work?
Every member gets a personal referral code and invite link. You find it on your waitlist card, and later under Refer & Earn in the menu on your dashboard. Share it with doctor friends; when they join with your code, they are counted as your referrals.
How much do I earn?
You get ₹250 credit for every doctor who joins with your code and is approved.
Where can I use my credit?
Synapse is free during private beta, so there is nothing to spend it on yet. Your credit stays in your account, and you can use it on any paid service we launch in future.
Where can I see my referrals?
Your waitlist card and the Refer & Earn panel show how many doctors you have referred and your total credit, including credit that is on its way while your friends are still waiting for approval.
